After all understanding the composers thoughts and actions can lead to a greater understanding of his compositions, on a certian level. Would Beethovens later music hold as much if it were not seen from the perspective that he was 4/5 deaf? I'm not arguing with you, instead I am just trying to work this out with you. Good topic.
