What are your favorite recordings as far as sound, mix, engineering etc. and why? (Assuming the music is decent also.) What makes a good recording?I read some stuff here for classical http://www.audioasylum.com/audio/music/messages/65953.html
and would like to hear more.As a budding audiophile, out of my small but growing collection I like:
-Rush - Moving Pictures, just perfect
-Mahler Symphony No. 2 - Chicago/Solti, in your face, "up front" type recording which I like, you can hear the conductor groaning, bows grinding across strings, brass players breathing during the chorale, etc., I like hearing everything, I guess that's why I like B&W speakersJeff
