There are some brilliant moments on the date. After listening to it more, I would say that it is uneven. Wayne's ideas are fantastic in sections but overall, not quite as good as the Miles tribute a few years ago. Still one of the better Verve releases (that does not mean much)and probably a 6 in a world where I really only want to have 9 and 10's.
