I have von Karajan with Berlin Philharmonic on DG. The original is from 1971 and includes Symphonies 3 & 4. I have the rereleased disc. Sound is decent, and I think the performance is good, although I do not have a lot to compare it to. My Solti versions of 3 & 4 and my hearing the 3rd performed in Boston, both had a faster pace than von Karajan. I understand that he did not perform these pieces much, but seemed to have a good feel for them.
