RE: Menuhin on Karajan - the truth!

I was trying to find the quote on Google of an interview that I saw on film, and I can't remember if it was on the Karajan documentary or on "The Great Violinists" or "The Great Conductors". I don't think that it was on the Karajan documentary, because my memory (which keeps getting worse every year) is that Menuhin was far from complimentary. He may have said that Karajan was a great conductor, but he clearly thought that his interpretations, though accomplished, were lifeless. He went on to talk about the organic flow of music, saying that it was a living thing, as opposed to the "perfect" performances that vK conmducted.
