I agree about opinions and certainly art is art and is in the eye (or ear) of the beholder,
but to completly disregard the impact, influence and contribution of an entire generation
seems a bit extreme.
It may all be the same at one point or another, but
the cream rises to the top and lingers there
in longterm glory and influence
and the more mundane art just plain fades away
to oblivion, any contribution or impact mostly forgotten.
To not acknowledge that seems awfully sad.
To not accept that is fine.
