Hi, Chris:
Loved your descriptions of concert going creeps!
Try recording while those folks are unwrapping cough drops!
We've all experienced those awful incidents where cell phones go off, but a couple of years ago, while I was recording the Oakland Youth Orchestra in Oakland's Mormon Temple Auditorium, the fire alarm went off intermittently in the first piece.
Did they perform the short work again as an encore?
No!
Did I record the same piece during the rehearsal?
YES I DID, fortunately, and I later intercut portions of that recording to replace those marred by the screaming firm alarm.
I have seen members of a certain quartet suddenly halt their performance to ask an audience member if they wanted to take that call!
YES! This happened over in Kohl Mansion years ago and it was of course, a priceless moment in my recording "career".
Cheers!
