Well then, I guess age IS the issue.
Julia Fischer's Brahms was Disc of the Month for Gramophone Magazine. Review by Edward Greenfield in this August's issue. We're told that she doesn't use the Joachim cadenza although the booklet says she does. Haven't heard it. You? How 'bout her Tschaikovsky?
It sounds like Lang Lang (better know in GB as Bang Bang) just needs a repertoire coach. I guess he never had one. Either that or he fell out with the one he had.
