I don't hold those beliefs as I don't run the microwave oven or Ham Radio in my listening room.
You must not use WiFi at home or have adequate cellular coverage as those signals permeate space.
My situation is different using three access points around the manse and have no trouble making calls with my cell phone inside. Perhaps more significant is the combined effect from a wide range of modern devices that happily spew noise into your AC line that must be entirely filtered by every electronic component.
