demo in the Nordost room and again during a setup & tuning seminar. All those listening to the demo thought it made a clear improvement to the sound in terms of dynamics and definitely a blacker background. The QX4 has a bypass switch on the back allowing pass through. When the bypass is activated the sound field tends to collapse toward the center and get smaller - very impressive. I installed a QX4 in my system between the dedicated wall outlet and PS Audio Quintet power distribution module. I haven't compared the Nordost Thor vs. my PS Audio Quintet but since the Thor uses the Quantum technology as well so I am tempted to try one.
