Many prefer RS1

I would say if you put main importance on frequency extremes, soundstaging, and more of "technical" audiophile checklists, GS1000 is the clear choice.

If you prefer immediacy, rich and forward mirange, and more of "fun" traditional Grado sound, RS1 may be the choice.

In either case, source/amp that synergize with each can's "tendencies" is a must IMO.
