Yeah, so what's your point? You're mixing apples with oranges!

Notice that the title of your post was directed toward the vanishing market for "High-End", which I take to mean High-End Audio. Correct?

However, later in your post you quote that there were well over a million subscriptions to audio magazines back in the 1980's, whereas now, there are approximately a third that number devoted to Home Theater.

My question is: What does Home Theater have to do with High-End Audio?
They are two completely different things, IMHO.

While I do not dispute that High-End Audio is declining, the logic of your post does not support your conclusion.
