I'm not arguing that burn-in is real, but if two parallel conductors (speaker cable) are held apart rigidly, then the force due to the currents between them will not cause movement, and hence no EMF.
Rubbery dielectric will allow the force to cause movement (strain) and hence EMF. The result is an impedence that depends on the compliance at each frequency.

Is this audible?? I have a feeling that it isn't at anything less than 15 billion amps, but if someone is willing to measure it, .....
