Hi Steve,If it "DOES" work for him, even if it's his imagination, then he is correct in saying that it "DOES" work. The only question I see in this is, "why?" Some will be happy with a philosophical answer and some will demand what their philosophy tells them is a "proof". The "other" opinion always looks stupid whey your own "facts" are so "perfect", but consider this:
You're driving down the road, late for work. In front of you some idiot is blocking the passing lane, and someone of similar intlelct is keeping the right lane blocked too. Then, some fool cuts through a small hole and blasts past you.
The people who drive slower than you are all idiots, and the people who drive faster than you are all fools. You are the only person on the planet who is neither a fool nor an idiot, because you are obviously driving at the correct speed. Then you see an opening, and dart around several cars, hog the fast lane waiting for an opening, and so on. You may be late for work if you don't hurry. But watch out for all those idiots and fools out there who may be operating on a set of priorities.
Blowing your horn or telling them how unscientific they are won't help you or them very much, and it sure isn't likely to advance the SOTA.
Most of us mean well, but often we fail to express our true meaning accuratly. All arguments stem from a misunderstanding somewhere. Look for the source of the confusion rather than at the confused.
