Thank you for your review. I agree power cord and interconnects make a big difference. I am using the JPS Labs Digital AC and JPS Labs Superconductor Fx balanced interconnects with excellent results.
My Gamut CD1R has perhaps 200 hours on it. The sound stage is spacious. I am most impressed with the tonal balance. Instruments have very natural detailed and harmonically rich timber. Very fluid midrange and airy highs. Dynamics and base definition are also good. GamuT CD1 is quite a bit better then my previous (musical sounding)Rega Jupiter 2000. Imaging with GamuT CD1 good, but not excellent.
By the way Aurios under the CDP may make a big difference. My associated equipment is Pass X2.5 preamp, GamuT D 100 MkIII and Chapman T6s ( three way dynamic Tower speakers)
