Just because the Audio Note DACs don't oversample doesn't mean they don't benefit from dither added in the recording process, or that they won't sound better with a low-jitter transport (IMO, this is why they included an AES/EBU digital input in a relatively low-priced DAC, to allow for the inferently lower jitter of that connection).
