I don't think you would be lucky enough to clean the laser and have your PRANY spring back to lifeThe laser could have died, and can no longer read the TOC flag's on the CD/DVD ... so the player thinks that there is no disc in the tray or ...
The spindle motor is getting tired and can't ramp the CD up to the proper speed (RPM) for the laser to read the TOC flag's ... so again the player thinks there is no CD in the tray.
At any rate you will probably need a Pranny tech to take look at it.
