Yes, you will damage your amp, If SS for sure & or speakers for sure,once amplified & no input caps on amp, my tube amp has no input caps, I got lucky & let small amounts of DC through on CDP mods, but have stopped that practice all together. Caps at CDP output or servo or no mod for me. I would ask someone here how to bypass that analog stage & out a poly cap with test leads & then measure for DC, there should be none. That much DC is way to risky, I think you will fry your drivers bigtime .........I do NOT understand what you did on your output cap experiment. You have to run that output cap in series. with no leads hanging in the air. What kind of cap are you experimenting with..?
