I'm a pretty experienced cable solderer but the tiny size of the connector is daunting. Evil Amazon has tonearm connectors, gold-plated brass in teflon (!) for twenty bucks, and that's interesting. A fifty or sixty dollar plug is just nuts and I will just not go along with it on moral grounds. Of course I would never deal with Evil Amazon either, but sometimes you just gotta deal with the devil.
