replaced with Acrolink Carbon Fiber plugs at either end, I moded these further by injecting industial diamond/epoxy resin into the cavities, put a Combak-harmonix RF-57 "dot" in each plug on the clamping crossmember, put walker silver contact enhancer on the wire tips, put ERS cloth on the first 4 inches of either wire end (a full wrap around, then sheathed the ends with super-heavy duty industrial shrink tube for further vibration management and strain relief, and chanted under a full moon... oh, and I glued the metal pincers that grab the IEC prongs on the "female" down tight with crazy glue so they wouldn't have any rattle play... would LOVE to try the new Oyaide metal barrel plug set, with the CuBe alloy plated with palladium/platinum... that Oyaide plastic barrel sure is pretty but a little too light for my tastes... kinda like Timachev's custom titanium barrels too, but Serge isn't selling to the general publique, alas... oh, yeah, talked to Jim Aud, he can custom build you a set with the standard CF (none of my choice of mods in them) which are definitely a step up, not as plush IMHO, but locked in focus.
