Thanks for the thoughtful post. The esoteric power cables I refer to are, in fact, Nordost Shiva and Eldorado. I did find both to improve midrange bloom but at the expense of snap and sparkle. At one point I Shiva'd individual components as well as the entire system.There were clear differences, but in my opinion there is simply a symbiotic interaction between Naim equipment and the supplied cords. That said, the Nordost cables had more dramatic effect when installed on equipment not sourced from the House of Naim.
It just occured to me that while owners of other audio brands will spend money on expensive power cables, Flat Earthers will put the money into better power supplies. Apparently, we're all afflicted by similar dementia.
