Home Cable Asylum

Interconnects, speaker wire, power cords. Ask the Cable Guys.

verdict: love the end result... took plenty of work and thinking anew

man this is a long story... the quick nut of it was that EVERY BLASTED THING was having an impact on the system tuning and now I had to seriously think about what I was doing. I ordered a BPT custom spec balanced transfromer with a full sized heavy z-sleeve inside, their thickest and warmest sounding. The tranny sits on a sandwich of two of the extra thick Blacks Diamond Racing platforms with Herbies large sized polymer feet acting as filling (4 feet, one to each corner).... this booger is connected to the wall where the Oyaide sits with a PAD maximus cord with the Arcrotec carbon fiber plugs, heavily customized by me with diamond loaded epoxy filling, crazy glued down the internal plug clips, etc.... wrapped ends with ERS cloth the shrink wrapped... the PADs alone were a super-bitch to get done. The I got one of those Yello Jacket cable tread things like you see near manholes when they're doing electrical work, the PAD is protected by that so you can squash it when you're walking around the room. WAF= -50.... Chucked out the steel stand, replaced with a Zoethicus, chucked the spike feet supplied by Zoethicus, replaced with carbon fiber cones and silicon nitride bearings by Grand Prix... real mutt job there, put in Cerious balanced ICs, took rubber feet off of Bel Canto, set it on Aurio Pros with cork barriers on either side, put X-treme gold on the speaker cables but not the ICs, put Stabilant 22 on the dig and analog ICs.... put blue detergent pills in the toilet tank, got a new dog, threw out the 6 week old lettuce, now only listen to obscure 1970's disco music from San Francisco's gay scene and burn Nag Champa....
