I know that the CHT is not a great sub. But for ~$450 it does
better than most of the sub ~$500 models I listened to. I have
had it for about 4 years now. The PC upgrade gave it a little
smoother response IMHO. I use it in my HT system and it thumps
and bumps very well. And its not too crappy if I listen to
music on it. I just could not stand that crappy
18 gauge wire that they had used for the amp. I think mine is
250 nom and 400 watts max. Since I did not have a nibbler I
used a drill to cut pilot holes and then used a jig saw to
cut the square. Then I used a small grinder I had to shape up
the hole. Due to the layout of the existing wiring and boards,
I had to rewire back the the circuit board. Be warned that
it can be a pain in the but. But if you are an adventurous soul
go for it!! I also added the black chrome spike feet from partsexpress
and added polyester batting inside. The addition of the spike
feet were probably the best tweak I did altogether.Good luck,
