I have a set of Dogg Digital speaker (SL 600) and I think they are great! I bought them from a guy out of a van hooked them up and was like YEA. I priced several tower speakers and for the 250 I spent theres was NOTHING I heard better. Two 8's and a 10. ;-). I was looking @ 4-5 hundred for one 8 by Infinty. Whatever some of you guys got you didnt get what I got! SORRY

i bought a pair of the Digital Audio AD600SL speakers the same way, and they sound amazing... i am a audio buff and love the way they sound, i got them for 200.00 and personally think they are a bargain

I've heard of dogg digital audio and some guys selling them of a van. At first i thought this was just bull but one day i was pitch by some guys by the mall in a white astro van, so i pulled over and checked out the speakers. They looked pretty good so then i had them try them out for me at my house and i was AMAZEd at the quality. At first i thought their whole story of how they happend to get on their van was bull but i really dint care after I heard them and i looked the speakers up on the net so i know it was a ligit speaker and all i payed for was 350 dollars versus a pair of JBL's for 800. by the way these were a pair of 1400sl and they retail for $2000 a piece! you can check them out on the manufacturers website www.doggdigitalaudio.com

For anyone that said they got a great pair of speakers..have u looked inside? I got a pair..and sure they work, but their website claims that the speakers have crossover circuitry that makes for pounding lows...yeah right, i opened the back panel and one of the two phono jack plug is even fake! and the other one, the + and - are just soldered back onto the regular + and - clips for regular wire terminal.

the website they put upis part of the scam. If you try to contact them you'll see that they dont have a phone number and the contact button does not work. They made the website and a fake catalog just to think you got a good deal. Many people got just a speaker case with no speakers inside, so if you got working speakers, you're lucky. so be careful

I bought a pair of DOGG 1200 SL speakers (out of a van, and hearing the same "scam" story) in July 2002. I convinced the sellers to let me listen to the speakers first, and they agreed. At that time, and since then, the sounds quality exceeded my expectations for speakers bought from a large white van. I would not have bought these speakers for the alledged $2000 dollar retail price, but that is only because I would not buy any speakers for $2000. These speakers sound as good, or better than any ~$2000 speakers I have ever heard. I am sorry that so many people feel they have been scammed, however I feel as though the speakers truly were a bargain (even if the circumstances of purchase were very sketchy).

I puchased the same speakers from two guys in a van claiming they had left over speakers from a job. When I brought them home I realized there was no sound out of the two bottom speakers. I took them apart and found there were no magnets or wires!

and if you don't know what that is then you really should reconsider the wisdom of buying audio components from guys in a van. You can't cheat either an honest man nor a well informed/educated consumer.

Can you enlighten those of us who don't know what that is??

Sure. A passive radiator is a drone bass cone that pretty much does the same thing that a ducted port does- it tunes the box to a desired frequency and gives additional output in the bass range.

I had the same thing happen to me today. Bought a set of 1100 series from some white guy in a late model chevy van. They sound great. Much better than my aiwa surround sound. I have read of all these people getting scammed from people like this with the same brand name speakers. They sound wonderful, so I would assume the website is a true company. They have a fax number on their contact link however if you look at a article done on them by a musical catelog they have their voice line also. I got lucky

With the exception of the few fools who've bought into this crap the overwheming point of this thread is the fact that these doggs are just that, dogs, that they are not worth more than $100 at best and that you should spend your hard earned money on speakers that are worth having. I don't know how you managed to get this far down the thread without getting a clue, so print this out and have your Mommy explain it to you: THERE IS NO SUCH COMPANY AS DOGG DIGITAL- THESE SPEAKERS ARE JUNK-YOU ARE BEING SCAMMED.
