Never having seen the kit won't stop me from guessing: you'll have a 2 pole 6 position rotary switch. The 3 inputs will go to corresponding opposite tabs on the rotary portion; the L-R outputs will either be inside or under the rotary tabs and go to the kit input.

That is correct... but there are only 2 output lugs. What happens to the grounds?
Having built several Bottlehead kits I can say that ANs manual sucks.

Having built 4 Bottlehead kits and the Audio Note Kit 1 I'm sure your characterisation of the AN manual is simply borne of frustration. Both companies manuals have strong and weak points but neither "sucks".
Think back to the Foreplay build and how the wires from the 6 RCA input jack 'hot' posts came to the selector switch. No ground wires. Then the 2 output leads from the selector went to the volume pots which each had a ground connection from the RCA's ground tabs.
Now apply that to the PDF file for the pre-amp which has graciously been provided to you by another AN kit builder.
If you're not incrementally increasing your knowledge of how tube amps are built, and why, with each kit you're missing a major part of the experience. There's nothing wrong with simply "inserting tab A into slot B" and then listening to music but knowing how the music goes in one side and comes out the other turns a passive experience into a more active one. And gives you the ability to modify other's designs to your own tastes.
Just my opinion, of course.

I agree with you totally. In the FPIII the hots (cntr pin of RCA) and Grounds ( solder tag of RCA) do indeed connect to the selector switch.. all drain wires are connected to chassis gnd at that point. The selector is a 3 pos/4 pole, switching the hots and gnds.
AND I have learned alot since embarking on the DIY path.
BTW- the link to the pdf file did not work.
