been going thru Dylan's 18 CD set which is chock full of goodness. Many takes on his fertile 65-66 period songs. Different versions, tempos, words, false starts and all the events that happen in a live studio environment.
What is cool about the Maggies is that when there is talk back between Bob Johnson & Dylan and the mics switch on....you can hear the room....or the space that it takes place in. And sometimes the room sounds/feels different and I imagine that is because of a change in mic placement.
Fascinating to be , after 50 years, a fly on the wall when Dylan recorded his best (IMHO) works.
These songs in their finished release form did not just happen, there were takes after takes and more takes.
Bonus is having Mike Bloomfield playing licks that were never heard until now....
