Easier than the 300B conversion is converting to 6B4Gs. Since you already have the octal sockets and 6.3V heater windings. The sovtek monoplate version allows for higher plate voltage and dissipation than vintage, so thats a help. The driver and bias circuits need to be modified, but its fairly simple. And because of the pinouts, it'll be possible to swap between the DHT and your favorite pentode when you need more power. I'll probably post a write-up on this mod in the near future to make it easy for any Ella owners that wish to experiment.
