I have no idea how it operates, but, Holy Cow does this amp sound great! Even with the Alps pot that gave me fits. I did make my own "co-ax" with 18 ga solid core to get a bite on the solder tabs That really helped. Also made the ground hookups much neater.
It only comes out when I do fine work like soldering or carving wood but I have a "gross tremor" in my hand that makes this stuff a challenge. I especially like the way the RCA input came out:
I'm listening to Patricia Barber "Cafe Blue" for the way these 40 EL-34 watts display the drum kit. Oh My! MUCH better imaging than the 2A3 Paramours; the JBL Altec system really likes the watts.
It get's better, right? It's great now!
