> Billies.I doubt it. I find around 5 Watt just right with Speakers that clock in near the 100db/W/m mark. That means you would need in the region of 100 Watt with your speakers for realistic levels. Now you can likely give up a few db but even so, giving up 6db will only get you down to 25 Watt needed.
I suspect the Ella is nearly the only option.
One hint though, if you are okay with your fingers, you should be able at a later date to convert Lady Ella to use 300B Output Valves (it's a bit of work but not that difficult).
On the other hand, how about building a pair of Adire HE 10's, adding an active Sub and a pair of Billies plus Jango passive Transformer Preamp.
Okay, that is the better of $ 2,500 spent but such a system will pretty reliably sound stunning, not just good. Simply see if you can sell your complete existing stuff and go for the big league. In the long run I think there is way more milage that way.
