Machina Dynamica.

Obtain a roll of adhesive-backed copper tape, width 1/2 inch. It can be either conductive or non-conductive adhesive. Adhesive-backed copper tape is available at Amazon and eBay, Radio Shack might carry it, who knows. Cut the copper tape into 1" x 1/2" rectangles - one rectangle for every window pane or glass door in the house or apartment. Attach one copper rectangle to each glass window and glass door. The copper rectangle can be placed anywhere on the glass, upper corner or otherwise out of view is OK. Be sure and attach a copper rectangle to glass in all rooms of the house or apt.

Gotta work better than the cheap gel window decorations I tried (that eventually melted) for vibration taming.
I suspect there's more to it than that though...

Will try.

THANKS!

Why 1/2" X 1" and not proportional to the size of the specific window?

Hmmm?- could be plausible I suppose- Simply enough to implement hate to think of the Tape cost though ,with the Copper pricing through the roof-ha!

sorta reminds of the unscrewing all the Lightbulbs in the room "tweak" from a few years back

suffering from RFI on his TT set up, elected to install mirror tinting on his plate glass windows. That aluminized film eliminated all the RFI bleeding in from the window.

On a similar vien, a customer was suffering from RFI on his CD based system, severe enough to hear the radio station. Attaching a ground wire to the aluminum screen cured the issue.

Ha good one Unc!--yes I used to get the local Taxis in the middle of engrossing in

Cecila Bartolli!

Do you think Airline 600MPH tape would do the same-would be cheaper than the

Copper-you really need to buy short lengths rather than the 100 M or so offered.

Talking of Mirrors-- I recall going out to Harold Beveridge's to pick up some product

in the late 70's-Harold delighted in showing us Julie Andrew's Mirror ball covered M2's

Wish I'd had my Camera --ha!

It should be copper.

eBay has 20 foot length 1/2" copper foil...Buy Now, posted on January 24, 2013 at 16:52:47
Adhesive backed, conductive adhesive, $10.75 including shipping. Can't beat it with a stick.

My wife is a stained glass artist and has a ton of this stuff in her shop. I had her put strips on every window in our house while I was listening to my kit. When all the windows were addressed, I still heard no difference, until I discovered that the computer screen could maybe use a strip.

Well, I was stunned! Everything tightened up, soundstage improved dramatically, individual voices were more intelligible. Thanks Geoff. I admit I had my doubts but I'm a believer now!!!!

Just bought a roll. THANKS!..., posted on January 24, 2013 at 20:27:36

GOT to be an improvement over the window gel sticky things.

Except it won't look like skeletons, black cats OR vampires...

Good question. Answer is maybe. For the time being I am keeping things simple and addressing windows only.

Disregard this thread.

Seeing is that most of your potential customers peruse these forums You would have to be nuts to think anyone would now go and pay you to cut the little copper pieces for them ..after reading this thread.

I didn't realize potential customers of mine read these threads. Nice to know.

Sure!..you might have lots of potential customers here...
at least those who dont know you bought a 3m roll of copper tape on Amazon for $9.00 and turn right around and resell it all nicely cut into 10 pieces for only $69.00!

or...perhaps potential customers from that small segment of society who dont know how to use a pair of scissors.

dont they need tweeks too?

You wrote, "You might have lots of potential customers here."

You don't come here often, do you?

You also wrote,

"You would have to be nuts to think anyone would now go and pay you to cut the little copper pieces for them."

Ye of little faith. If they purchase the copper foils from me they will know the foils were touched by me.

Thank you for your sage advice, anyway.

and neither are you a very good retailer!

but you are full of yourself...

I honestly believe you would try to sell your turds..but of course only after having wiped with magic foil.

Its a shame you play off the ignorance of others to line your pockets.
