Mtn. Lion seems to run things a little faster and smoother than with Lion. It does sound a little different than Lion on my Dual Boot MacBook Pro. Mtn. Lion sounds slightly less dark than Lion and is more open sounding. Damien Plisson of Audirvana Plus also noticed sonic improvments with Mtn. Lion and feels it might be due to kernal optimizations in the OS. Those of you running OSX Snow Leopard might feel that Mtn. Lion is brighter, but I don't think this is the case. Snow Leopard is darker sounding and less open than Lion or Mtn. Lion. But this is just my opinion, so use what sounds best to you. |
