If I had to do a lot of re-cones all the time I would invest in a dremel for sure

I re-coned some RCF 18's and it went very well

Not a real big learning curve actually

Two most important things.
Make sure the gap is absolutely clean!
Make sure you have that sucker shimmed dead center before you glue the web down
