I belong to a not for profit West Coast Swing dance club. We do a once a week Thursday night dance at a local womens club.
Our old sound/mixier is giving us problems. Our sources are tyoically CD of digital music or via a laptop library or IPOD. Our DJ are non professional most of the time.
We have two new powered speakers purchased some months ago. My question is do we really need a hi-tech mixer? What components do we need at minimum to provide a good quality troublefree presentation of tunes.
We need to keep it simple, user friendly, easy to set up.....need public address, hands free microphone interface for dance instructors.
What processor equipment do we need at a minimum to get the quality we want without a lot of bucks?

A dealer that caters to the karaoke market should be able to set you up with a mixer and wireless microphone.
