Back to Tube DIY and discuss Low DCR power supplies?
Or should I go back to TUBES ASYLUM and troll 'The Tube Dealer Who Believes He Owns The Place'?
Or Cables where I can compare the speaker wires, white lamp cord vs. brown lamp cord(prefer white)?
High Efficiency Speakers? I got 'em but they sound pretty crappy in my new home, for some reason. First order x-over at 400 HZ may have something to do with THAT!
Vinyl Asylum is the easiest place to 'Troll'. Lots of old guys with STRONG opinions and few working brain cells to back those strong views up. With over 4000 classical records lining the walls and two TT's on the rack, I should be welcome there. Whoops, forgot about the Technics TT. That might be a problem!
There are way too many choices, and as long as I can find a way to avoid both JI and 'tin', I'll be fine.
Will miss this place and just about everyone here. It is/was a unique place in the digital world where one came to visit BECAUSE of the differing voices not to hide from them.
Where else can you go and watch Australians argue about beer?

But you shouldn't worry it will only last a short time....like anything with a 'sell by' date.

Some people think they can hear the difference between $5,000 cables and speaker wire and S1,000 cables and speaker wire.
Me, I stick with plain old 10 gauge speaker wire, and moderately priced interconnects with decent connectors on the end.
Works for me.
I just got a new moderately priced 'table as I too have a lot of vinyl. Most of us ol' folks who were big on Hi-Fi back in the days of Allied Radio and some of the niche shops which sold McIntosh, Crown, HK Citation series, Marantz and Klipsch, Braun, Advent, AR, Infinity, Dynaco Kits etc have at least a couple of thousand LP's stashed.
I'm thinking of transferring at least some of the Vinyl to HiRez DVD audio, if I can ever find the time. But those old records sure sound good to me. Some of the stuff recorded at the advent of stereo are loaded with dynamic range and wide frequency response.
A lot of them sound better than a lot of the overly produced crap that mascarades for hi fi these day.

And stare at an endless stream of tiny-bike pictures.
Also, fitness advice, bird pictures, Hitler, lefties, wing-nuts, turntables drenched in beer, swords, guns, no guns, Nazis, libtards, reactionaries, shoveling snow, dazzling urbanites sporting Mont Blanc pens... The list goes on and on.
Crap, I'm getting verklempt.

It's the by-product you leave in the toilet.
It's fucking pretty close to water.
