Hi Nerdorama.
Those Russian GU-50 are still out there for nothing and come with a excellent reputation for sound quality for a IDH Valve/Tube in Triode of course I just had to do something with a pair or two, as I had bought a life time supply!!!
This will be a line integrated amp. It needs to be A cheapy but with a few different ideas.
A Push Pull amp with LL1540 input/splitter > 6E6P-D 200V@25ma > LL1671PP Interstage > GU-50 > LL1682PP Output 400V@100ma. Fixed bias using Tentlabs Bias supply.
PSU. Custom Toroidal > Scotty Bridge > 6CM3 Damper Diode > Tentlabs E-chokes > Polypropylene Motor Run Caps for smoothing.
6GF7a series Pass regulator for the driver HT.
Extensive common mode filtering for the AC valve/Tube Filaments/Heaters.
Hope that helps, how are you planning to build your GU-50 amp?
Tubelcain.
Follow Ups:
I will likely do something that includes ideas from both Lynn Olson's Karna Kay and Kevin's amp on his blog post.
