    Yes on Elvin! One mike recorded the set. The music was fantastic but the sound was so so...-.It is great to hear from you!! Life is good my friend! That Kendrick Scott is indeed excellent. I like the Walter Smith III also!!

      Hey man, agree on WSlll, he has something old and new in him, really love his Twio. You gotta get Roy Hargrove/Mulgrew Miller - In Harmony. It's a killer set of ballads, very, very enjoyable 2-cd set, just two of them. Also got Sorey's Mesmerism, which is brilliant IMO. Lately been on a spending spree, got many great albums ;)

        I have the Hargrove. It's great. I have the last three Tyshawn Sorey records. Off Off Broadway is a must as are the trio records. A lot of great music to be had for sure.

          Just ordered the Off Off Broadway and Continuing. Today received Kenny Barron's latest The Source, his first solo album in 30 years, and Hasaan Ibn Ali's Metaphysics wit Odean Pope on tenor. Man, he was so ahead of his time, just unbelievable. Satisfied with both of them :)

            Thanks for the head up on Hassan...-.will but it. Briana Marsella made a tribute record. It's great. Gregg August made a double CD a couple of years ago. It is FANTASTIC...-.Dialogues On Race...-.It is epic...-.bought it from him at a concert. Just great music.

                  ...-it's unbelievable, thank you. Listened to it 5 times! The album with McBride I mentioned is Craig Taborn's Flaga with Sorey, which is also on Tzadik, but they're playing the Masada pieces. Great album if you're into that kind of music.

                    I hadn't listened to any Masada stuff in years...-.will give it a listen. Flew back from Portugal today...-.listened to the Sorey trio with Greg Osby. It's fantastic!!

    Just put it on for the 3rd time. Elvin is in rare form. Has that raw/immediate sound. Did younget the Tyshawn Sorey Off Off Broadway? Similar sound. Banned in New York had that raw sound also.

  Historically interesting, musically not quite to what one expects/hopes for.
