    Alan Holdsworth played pub gigs like all London jazz musicians and I was lucky enough to do a gig with him. I don't remember the music very well. What I do remember was a long conversation about bicycles. He was a real geek - talked for ages about Shimano gears etc etc. Nice guy. Very intense, very dedicated.

      Very cool.I discovered Alan Holdsworth on the Tony Williams album Believe It. He played the guitar on a tune called Fred.
