Haunted by Equipoise...

Stanley Cowell's Equipoise has been going around and around in my head. It's quite hypnotic. So I played some versions to my wife, who is a non-musician but loves jazz. The Stanley Cowell versions on piano did nothing for her, but she immediately liked Ray Drummond's version of the tune. She said "the tune has an echo in it and you need 2 instruments to make this work. It doesn't work with just one instrument like a piano. I like the Ray Drummond track".

Smart girl - she got it immediately.
