Kirby,
thanks for the review, a few questions please:
1.Clayton said there are 6 settings on the DCX to adjusting for bass only depending on the room size? Are there any other adjustments/configurations on the DCX when you can tweak?
2. Do you know what type of woofer and compression drivers the CS2 is using?
Follow Ups:
Sorry, I didn't see your questions before. The compression driver is a senlenium D220. Off the shelf one inch. I can't see the drivers in the LF but they are detailed elsewhere on the web. The settings definitely bass load specific but yes, there are many tweaks you can make on the DCX. You can save them to the internal memory so it won't erase Clayton's settings. I have played with it quite a bit and have to say that things like cable choice seem pretty silly when compared to adjusting crossover points, slopes, and levels.
Thanks,
Kirby
Lakeforrester,
many thanks, I received inputs from some users of compression drivers(CD), they said titanium CD normally didn't sound good. That's their opinion and E.P. made this speaker to a price target, expensive CD will make these speakers even more costly.
If you have opportunity try B&C DE250 it will cross at least at 1.5K. It sounds quite good inputs from MANY users of this driver.
cheers.
