�GE 5670W is a small signal tube. The best part of this tube is also the
disadvantage of this tube.
�GE JAN 5670W - it's a terrific tube for very little money
GE 5670w tube: Decent performance overall. Decent extension in both treble and bass, with a fairly smooth mid. Good resolution, detail and a decent soundstage.
However, if there is a vibration in the surrounding, 5670W will easily pickup and amplify it.
If using 5670W type of tube, you tap the case as the tube is very sensitive and picks up the sound of your vibration from your tap.

Hi Victor,

Yes, it is a good tube and a wonderful amp. My question is more hypothetical.

My guess is that small tubes generally do not abruptly die in a horrific manner. They get weaker and weaker until they are unusable long before they blow. And, low power tubes probably do not blow out hard.

Any yehs or nehs on this?
