Hi
I bought the neofones from Brian a few years ago and built the BR cabinet from the plans on the DIY HIFI Supply website.
Overall they're pretty good in this cabinet but there is a tendency toward a bit of sibilance. I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions for how to get rid of this?

I have the same observation so I stuck a small piece of self adhesive felt (about 3-4 mm diameter) at the center of the dome on the cone. I used a paper punc hole device to punch this round felt piece from a larger piece. You can place number of them according to your taste. However even though I started with 4 of them (3 in triangular form and the 4th at the center) I ended up going back to one piece. Since the cone material is alu, there is no problem with the self adhesive felt.

I use them in a sealed box with ribbon tweeter on top and active sub-woofer below. We found a bit of a peak at around 9kHz in the Neofone's FR so we rolled 'em off a bit below that. Actually Ron, who designed and built the speakers, could hear the peak- I just tried to look semi-intelligent: "mmmm, Ron, I think you may be right". They sound great. Maybe it's that peak that your hearing?
