Hi Protos
Main difference with the widebands is a fuller midrange, especially lower mid, where piano notes for instance have more body & are more solid. 2 widebands also seem to improve detail. Donovans 'Beat Cafe' CD I can hear the hum from the studio & attack & release of the compressor on his voice on some tracks!! Mind you, this could also be the amp.....
No....my room didnt need the 15" subs....I did! I want to feel the floor shake. Now it does, especially when watching earthquake movies!!!
I move the speakers away from the wall when I listen so I have at least 1m behind them. They sound fine closer to the wall, but bringing them forward improves the holography.
I was getting alot of shouting to start with while running in, but they are fine now..I have about 400 hours.
Without a doubt, IMO, one of the best speakers on the planet!
