Prometheus MK1 tweeter

Hi all/Robert

I have some MK1 baffles and was wondering whether an upgrade to MK11 standard tweeters is worth while. not sure I can spend out on the Gemini's yet.

Robert could you let me know how much an upgrade would cost?

If you would like to buy a pair of the newer tweeters please contact me via email at: exsailor2001@msn.com. I have a pair that I do not need as I upgraded to the Gemini's already. I do not have the adaptive horns as Robert does but I can probably make a pair if you cannot purchase them separately. When emailing if possible please attach a picture of your current set up so I can think of possible adaptations.
If at all possible, it may be worth waiting until you can afford the Gemini tweeters as you will therefore be at the end of the upgrade path. One should include the cost of intermediate steps when considering upgrades. The Gemini is simply world class.

Hi Philip,

the retail price for one pair of Gemini tweeters is EUR. 800,00 including the wooden horns. There are special conversion horns available for the MKI baffles which fit into the baffle cut- out for the Beyma tweeters.
The Gemini tweeters are the most advanced tweeters from the Bastanis line, they are definetly worth it when you look for the best possible sound. When your sources, amps and cables are harmonic and on highest possible level the improvement of soundquality is huge, when the level of your electronics is not equal you better invest in these components first, the quality- level of the MKI Beyma- and of the MKII Standard- tweeters is very high in comparison to many other - even very expensive speakers and also good for many years of happy listening without missing anything.
