Robert I was looking at the plans for the old Prometheus and the newer single FR driver plans and notice the tweeter is now below the FR driver and sits 930 mm off the ground as compared to 1050 mm as was previously. As well the tweeter is now offset.
Was it your testing that determined this to be a better configuration?

Hi,
the acoustical center is in about the same height, it`s inbetween the tweeter and the wideband driver with a single wideband driver and tweeter on the baffle.
The new Mandala baffle- design offer the possibility to add a second wideband driver on the baffle later by adding another cut- out for the second wideband driver. Thatīs a new perspective compared to the Prometheus/Atlas baffles.
The possibility to add a second wideband driver later requires to place the tweeter offset, so the wideband drivers can be placed close to each other with the right distance. Equipped with a single wideband driver the sound and the imaging is comparable to the centered tweeter- position. The offset tweeter position in 95% of all rooms and positions sounds best with the tweeters outside and leaves the option to place the baffles with the tweeters inside for the other 5% of possible placements.

Robert Bastani
Ok makes sense now. Thanks Robert.
