A few that come to mind:Chris Smither - Another Way to Find You. Live solo acoustic performance in the studio with a small audience. Guess I would classify it as blues.
Mark O'Connor - Midnight on the Water. Another solo acoustic performance with guitar and fiddle. Recorded alone in an auditorium. Classical and folk.
Patty Larkin - A Go Go. Solo acoustic songs with guitar performances from various locations. Contemporary folk.
Fairport Conventions - In Real Time, Live '87. Recorded at their annual Cropredy Festival in England. Always thought it had a good, if not interesting sound for an outdoor concert. English folk rock
Al DiMeola, John McLaughlin, Paco DeLucia - Friday Night in San Fransisco. Recommended more for the performance I suppose. I have it on Columbia Legacy cd. Don't know if any better copys exist. Jazz.
Sonia Dada - Lay Down and Love It Live. I just love the band and think it sounds good too. Mix of rock, funk, soul, gospel and whatever.
Genesis - Seconds Out. I'll throw that one in too.
Several others I could name, but I am more biased toward the music and performance than sound quality. Not that I have that many, but would not know where to begin with classical recommendations.
