This is a new release for September from Nimbus, although it was recorded in Mechanics Hall, Worcester Massachusetts--a wonderful hall for solo piano and chamber music.

I have written it up for my blog, and included 4 x one-minute sound bytes, but, it is already up on Tidal.

Really really nice.

But the first violin let me know that they did not name themselves after Charlie Parker.

Awww. Missed opportunity.

One of the nicest new quartet releases I have heard in a long time.

And I love the Eames fiberglass chair images on the cover...

ATB,

John Marks

The sample files sound very nice. I haven't listened to op. 44 for some time; usually go for op. 12 and 13. May have to get this one. Thanks.

Great music, great interpretation by the Parker quartet and excellent audio. I listened to it via "Classicsonline" streaming.
