Any recomendations which way?

Follow Ups:
I paid $339 new. It has to be the biggest audio bargain I have ever seen.
Of course I examined the interior and took notes for eventual upgrades. I also changed out the Shuguang (excellent by the way) 12AX7s for NOS Sylvania 5751s I had on hand. I removed the tube shields as they are not necessary and contribute to very short tube life. I can get by with 30% less gain also. Too much means no volume control range using the tube line output.
Very good to excellent build quality. High/low voltage R-core transformer, plated through double sided glass epoxy boards, metal film resistors and what are apparently Asian film capacitors of unknown dielectric. Six OP37 low noise op amps in sockets. Very extensive heavy plate shielding. Heavy gage steel chassis and cover. Aprox. 5 mm thick aluminum faceplate.
Hard to find fault with any aspect of the 9's build quality. Can't see why it would not sound good.
I do not know the Primare but I'm sure it's excellent.

Man you got that quick. I ordered mine last Friday and hoping to receive today.
I live in MA. I think the mail routes in the northeast corrider are fast. When I order something it gets here quick. I've had next and two day delivery on a lot of things. I never pay extra for speedy delivery.

Would appreciate knowing where you bought your Jolida. I am ready to move up to MC cartridges and have been giving the Jolida a good look. It would be great to get one for the price you mention. Please send me an email. Thanks.
Looking to purchase one as well. Where did you buy one new for $339?Thanks.

2,000 hours minimum, with the shields. You want it to really sing? Stick a couple of Groove Tube 12AX7-M Mullard replicas in there. GT is out of stock until June, but Boi AudioWorks has them.

I actually responded to your suggestion of before. You might have missed it. It's on page 2 now.
the max gain spec for the Primare, might be borderline for really low output MCs. That said, I like the R-20s loading options better. The R-20 MSRP is $200 higher.

this time about your Jolida. First thanks for the feedback on my Parasound PPH-100 in a previous post. Now I am looking at the Jolida JD-9A as a possible choice for upgrade vs. the Cambridge Audio 640P. The Channel Islands Audio VPP-1 would have been a logical choice for me since I own the CIA VDA-2 and VAC-1 but from what I have found, the CIA is only slightly better than the Cambridge Audio and the Monolithic PS-1, sonically. I can purchase the Jolida for only $40 more than the CIA and was wondering if the Jolida is much more sonically than the Cambridge Audio for the approximate $200 price difference. Like the idea of having more gain control for the future with the Jolida. Thanks for your thoughts on this in advance.

Henry,Thanks. I knew you would know which would be better.
