especially the ones regarding fine adjustment of overhang on this particularly headshell. It was just the kind of answers i was hoping for.
I must admit that i am a bit concerned by raising the effective tonearm mass by almost 10g. if using this headshell, but i'm currently using a 2mm. thick homemade headshell weight plate made of pure lead, and this added weight works well with my AT1005II/DL-103.
Perhaps it would be a smart move to test the arm/cart resonance, with the lead plate, using the Hi-Fi News Test Record, (krenzler ;-) before ordering that massive 18g. headshell.
Follow Ups:
Well, if you use the Hi-Fi News test record, be advised that the announced frequencies are not accurate.
Is that the newest version of the HFN test record John?
Thanks.I wouldn't be very surprised if the inaccuracies has remained on the newest version but who knows?
Thanks John. I will have that in mind.
