I purchased a used HW-19 Jr. and it did not come with any feet for the base. Does anyone know where I can purchase them or what I could use instead of them?
Follow Ups:
I have a spare set of the rubber feet for the HW-19jr. I see from your profile you live in the boston area. I live close by. If you're interested send me an e-mail. You can have them free.
Dick C,I tried sending you an email. But, I am not certain you received it. I would like to take you up on your kind offer. Please feel free to email me so that we can discuss this further. Thank you.
Depending on the platform you have it on it may be a great improvement. The size of the screw thread is important, of course. You don't want to order 1/4-20 if it isn't that size...it seems to me we had a discussion about the sizes of those screw holes a few years back.I'll do a search and get back to you.
I've had my table on a lot of different platforms and a lot of different spikes and always liked the "snap" it gave to the sound...better attack. Right now, the plinth sits on Michael Green spikes...I loved what it sounded like with Lloyd Walker's cones, but they're too tall for my application. I've separated the plinth (box) and motor section from the top plinth with sorbothane hemispheres on PVC pipe connectors.
One of these days I have to pull it apart and take photos...Ken Willis helped me do it and after we were done THEN we thought about photos!

I have another set of those. I can take pictures of them and post them if you'd like. I no longer have the VPI though (still kicking myself).
I suppose, in a way, it's just as harmful to stop trusting your memory as it is to actually lose it!I'm sure if you post some photos here it would interest VPI owners. The combination of separating the plinth and adding a decent power cord (the URL for the article I wrote included if anyone's interested) makes me wonder if I'd buy a new table even if I could afford one.
I'm still blown away with every record I play, even "non-audiophile approved" LPs. In fact, I can't imagine spending a sane amount of money to upgrade would give me "more". I'd like to try one of the multi-buck tables, though! But then, taking into the starting price of the table and the upgrades I've made I guess mine could be called a multi-buck table...NAAAAAAH!
