I took my system to it's logical conclusion. I had a few Rega componets and decided to take the system "all Rega". I sold the speakers I had and my Rega P3. I ended up with a store credit for something I had purchased so, with that and the money from the speakers and P3, I added a Rega tuner, Rega speakers and was able to move up to the Rega P5 with the upgraded power supply. Now, my system was Rega, top to bottom. I was not prepaired for just how good this system is. The P5 is clearly superior to the P3 in every regard. With the Rega Exact2 mounted to the P5, plugged into the phono stage of the Mira3, powering the Rega R5 loudspeakers, I can honestly say it's the best I've heard. The P5 stomps the mighty Apollo with any decent record. I've owned and heard lots of different tables in lot's of different system and while many have sounded really good, I've heard nothing like the sound of the all Rega set up. It just absolutly kicks butt. I've haven't listened to this much rock music in a decade or more. Any one around Baltimore who is curious as to what an all Rega system sounds like is welcome to drop by for a listen. It's just a damm fine stereo with vinyl being the cherry on top. Best move I've made in 30+ years of being an Audiophile.

Really pleased it's worked for you. How do you find the speed control/stability on the new regas and how is the tracking on those new rega carts ?
Greetings from Rob in the UK.
hello Rega Fono
hmmmm...deja vu here. Did I see this post before?I made a similar move with Audio Note and know exactly what you are saying. Some systems really shine matched to components in the same family.
I also have a coworker that asked me to help him build a 5.1 home theatre for an apartment. He went with a 100% Linn system and the results are amazing.
I only wish I had help like this when I built my first system. I had a lott of misses before I finally hit a home run.
